February 23, 2009 Reading: “If You Could Go to Antarctica”Our reading selection for this week discusses adventures in Antarctica. Students will classify and categorize the story. Continue to read nightly for 20 minutes and color in Reading Log. Reading Log is due at the end of February. |
Writing: Students will continue to write sentences with capital letters at the beginning and use correct punctuation at the end. We will also work in our journals daily. |
Math: Students will pay for items to 25 cents using nickels, identify and create an ABC sound and movement pattern, pay for items to 50 cents using nickels, divide by sharing, and identify a cylinder. *Practice counting by 5’s*Practice saying days of the week |
